CO-FOUNDER / DESIGNER
Growing up right outside the furniture capital of the world, Cheri has been immersed in furniture and design her entire life. With her degree in entrepreneurship from UNCW she learned tactical ways to put her creativity to use which ultimately led to her founding Accent Prone alongside her husband and high school sweetheart, Justin. When Cheri is not traveling to furniture and fashion markets or designing homes for clients, Cheri can be found at home with her two sons, Brooks and Beckett, fully embracing life as the outnumbered girl in the family.

With two parents in the furniture industry, Justin quickly became involved in the family business. What began with passing out pamphlets at his parents' showroom led to Justin designing his own showrooms, traveling, and managing Accent Prone alongside Cheri. His experiences give him a deep understanding and appreciation for the practicalities and art behind the industry. Known for his creativity, eye for detail, and knack for space planning, Justin thrives on helping clients bring their vision to life and creating homes that feel both personal and inspiring. Beyond the showroom, he treasures time with his wife Cheri and their two sons, Brooks and Beckett, loves catching live music, and never passes up the chance to pull off a memorable prank!

INTERIOR DESIGNER
Julie's background in interior design and business administration, paired with her bubbly personality, make her a perfect addition to our team. Julie has a gift for getting to know her clients and helping them create spaces that are authentic and true to their story. If you need to talk through your home design with an expert that feels more like a friend, look no further! Design aside, Julie loves gardening, baking, country concerts, her farm home, and four maltese.

Erica is a talented designer, loving friend, passionate associate, and an exceptional manager of our store! From creating inspiring displays in our store to guiding our team with ease, Erica is always at the heart of AP’s latest happenings. Though she may hold the title of Accent Prone’s reigning “tablescape queen”, Erica’s talent expands to all areas of home design and she loves using her skills to help customers create their dream spaces. From beaches to mountains and everything in between, Erica loves spending time in nature and loves to incorporate organic, earthy elements into her designs. Outside of work, Erica loves spending time with her family and curating her own home with colorful, bohemian flair that’s as artsy as she is!

With a background in furniture showroom management and a love for providing personal, friendly customer service, Stacey joined the Accent Prone team as the manager of our Lake Norman location. An art school graduate with years of experience in the furniture industry, Stacey is innovative, artistic, and the perfect person to oversee operations in our Huntersville showroom and keep it looking fabulous. Outside of work, Stacey is newlywed to her high school sweetheart and loves family time, especially with her two daughters. You’ll often find her at the beach, on the tennis court, tackling home renovation projects, watching college football, or diving into anything creative and crafty!

fashion merchandiser / assistant manager
Madison is our go to gal! If she doesn't know the answer, she is definitely going to figure it out. From weekly try-on hauls to managing incoming inventory, Madison wears lots of different hats (literally and figuratively) here at AP. She uses her degree in Communication and her broad range of skills to serve as our assistant manager, apparel buyer, inventory organizer and event planner. She is our fashionista who loves everything gold and vintage. Catch her at the coast on off weekends soaking in the salty air. Tune in each Thursday at noon on our social media channels for her weekly styling sessions!

After graduating from Penn State in 2021, Emma packed her bags and moved to Kernersville to join our team! She uses her degree in advertising along with her analytical skills to run our social media pages and serve as our head of digital marketing. With her education combined with a background in visual arts, Emma has a great eye for aesthetics and makes sure to capture all of our new arrivals, vignettes, and fun BTS moments to share on our social media. Outside of work she can be found crafting, thrifting, engaging with her latest pop-culture obsession, and spending time with her two cats, Tsuki and Luna.

With years of experience in home staging supporting her great eye for detail, Johanne operated her own design business in New Jersey for 10 years before relocating to North Carolina to be closer to family. Her creative background and passion for beautiful interiors led her to join the team at our Lake Norman location, where she loves helping customers curate their homes with unique pieces and thoughtful attention to tone and texture—selecting fabrics and paint colors is her jam! Outside of work, Johanne often spends her free time with her four grandkids and exploring the Lake Norman area.

Ready for a life change after the birth of her second child and a fulfilling career as a registered nurse, Vicki revisited one of her biggest passions: interior design. She went on to earn a graduate degree before pursuing an interior design career in Atlanta, where she applied her keen eye for detail to new home builds and renovation projects, including several “Parade of Homes” and “Street of Dreams” designs. Following the arrival of her first grandson, Vicki and her husband relocated to Charlotte, where she learned about an opportunity to join the Accent Prone team in Lake Norman. She jumped at the chance to connect with local home decor lovers and use her creative background to assist customers with their home design decisions.

In the midst of her fulfilling career in Human Resources, Mary decided it was time to pursue a creative side venture: home design! Guided by her love for creating beautiful, healing spaces and her lifelong passion for mental health and wellness, Mary effortlessly connects with customers and helps them find the special pieces that spark joy in their homes. Outside of work, Mary can be found spending time with her family and dogs, traveling, and nurturing her candle business, Florais Candles!

Growing up in High Point, Dexter's first job was at a furniture factory when he was 16 years old. His skills and experience in the furniture industry have been a welcomed addition to Accent Prone! Dexter manages inventory at our two warehouses with ease and he leads our delivery team with confidence. He's a team player and we are so lucky to have him! Outside of work, Dexter is one of 10 siblings and loves spending time with his family.

If you've ever been over to the AP warehouse on Saturday, you've likely met Terry! Terry is a retired gemologist who owned a fine jewelry store for over 20 years. He passed his love of jewelry to his daughter, Cheri, as well as provided mentorship to her and Justin as they opened Accent Prone. Terry is a big part of Accent Prone's foundation, and much like his wife Robin he is always around to lend a helping hand. He can be found almost every Saturday working at our warehouse!He has a big personality and loves working with customers, so make sure to say hello if you see him around.

Robin, Cheri's mom, is always ready to lend a hand in anything and everything relating to the function of AP. Whether helping her husband, Terry at our warehouse or keeping Brooks entertained, she is a valuable asset to our team and the overall success of AP!

Brooks keeps us young! He may be small, but his personality is huge! He often can be found running around the store and hanging out with the rest of the AP team. Brooks knows anything and everything about Pokémon, and he loves playing with his parents, Cheri and Justin, and his little brother Beckett. His energy and smile will always brighten your day!
